Unless all of your game’s characters are as verbose of Dr. Gordon Freeman, they will need some dialogue. Scripts are tools that provide dialogue and useful scene directions for designers and developers. The content may be for a variety of in-game events, including cutscenes, quest interactions, audio recordings and narration.
Sharp, believable dialogue brings a character to life in the video game world. I enjoy either creating the scenes from scratch, or just producing the dialogue for them. Either way, I strive to produce scripts that give clear directions for the developer and, when implemented, will feel natural and engaging.
